Here is information to know for the beginning of the football season for all those in Grades 7-12 interested in playing. Important dates to know:
August 5- mandatory player & parents meeting for all interested in playing. The meeting will be virtual and begin at 6:15 PM. A link will be shared at a later date.
August 8- High School (grades 9-12) football begins. Practice begins at 8:00 AM in Washburn. The Wilton bus will leave at 7:35 AM.
August 12- Junior High (grades 7-8) football begins. Practice begins at 3:45 PM in Washburn. The Wilton bus will leave at 3:15 PM.
August 16- High School team travels to Des Lacs-Burlington for a scrimmage at 11:00 AM. Leave time will be 8:30 AM.
August 23- First varsity game at Carrington with a 7:00 PM kickoff. Leave time TBD.
August 26- First Junior High (5:00 PM kickoff) and JV (6:30 PM kickoff) game vs Central McLean at Turtle Lake. Leave time TBD.
September 2- There will be practice on Labor Day for both Junior and High School teams. Time will be determined but it will be in the afternoon.
A reminder that all players MUST have a physical completed prior to their first practice in order to participate. Forms are to be turned into the school office.

High School Camp for those entering grades 9-12 will be held Tuesday, July 30 & Wednesday, July 31 from 6:30-8:30 PM.
Youth Camp for those entering Grades 5-8 will be held Thursday, August 1 & Friday, August 2 from 10:00 AM - 12:00 Noon.

Wing Public School has two buses for sale. The smaller bus is a 2002 Chevrolet. The larger bus is a 2013 International. This bus has a handicap lift. Both buses require some repair. If interested, please submit a sealed bid by July 5, 2024 to Superintendent Cassidy Lyngaas, Wing Public School, PO Box 130 Wing, ND 58494.
MEET ALEX HORNER! OUR NEW WWCS HEAD BASEBALL COACH! Alex Horner was born and raised in Mandan, North Dakota and is currently starting his third year teaching at Wing Public School. Coach Horner has coached baseball for 7 years in Mandan for the Braves and also the Mandan A's. Coach Horner is a football coach for Southern McLean. During college Coach Horner also played college hockey at the University of Mary from 2018-2021. Coach Horner is looking forward to his first year with the WWCS baseball program.

Wing FFA traveled to Fargo to participate in the 95th annual ND State FFA Convention where members participated in Career Development Events, attended sessions, and conducted official state business.

It's state baseball time. Help send the team off to state in style. The bus will get a fire truck escort in to Wilton Thursday morning approximately 8:20 am. The route will be simple - Dollar General to Cenex. Come out and support the team by parking along the route and cheering them on.
WWCS takes the field tomorrow at the state baseball tournament in Jamestown.
Reminder! - Lions Swim forms are due back tomorrow. They may be turned into the school or to Richard Koski.
