2023 Homecoming Dance - September 22, 2023 Who: All students in grades 9-12 in good standing Where: Washburn High School When: The doors will lock one hour after the game ends and the dance runs until midnight. There will be a $5 admission fee for all students attending the dance. Students must sign in when entering the dance. Any student bringing a guest from outside of Wilton/Wing/Washburn High Schools must fill out a guest pass which may be obtained in the school office.

2023 Homecoming Pep Rally and Parade Information - September 22, 2023 1:30 pm- Pep Rally is scheduled to be in the New Gym at Washburn High School but may be moved to the football field. Stay tuned for more information as it becomes available. The Washburn Student Council will plan this event. About 2:15 Parade - Due to construction, Washburn administration is working out the best logistical parade route and will release this information once the route is finalized. Our plan is to take all students PK-12 to the pep rally and parade via school bus or school vehicle. Please stay tuned for further details as we get closer to Homecoming week.

Last year's 6th Grade Class (now 7th graders) wrote the first three student stories in "Cherry Street 58493." In the book, they were part of the fictional Mr. Loren's 7th grade class at fictional Winfield School, assigned to write an animal story.
Last year's 7th & 8th Grade Class (now 8th & 9th) wrote animal stories or short stories as part of fictional Mr. Loren's 7th & 8th graders at Winfield School.
Members of this year's 11th & 12th Grade students wrote short stories to complete fictional Mr. Loren's English assignment in "Cherry Street 58493," or they wrote additional stories about the people in fictional Winfield who live on Cherry Street.
