Just a reminder that there is no school this Friday, January 8th as it is a professional development day for our teachers. This means there are no class or attendance requirements for our students this Friday.

The concert will be livestreaming on our Facebook page. Thank you in advance for your help in making this happen. We are incredibly lucky to be able to have an in person concert right now and I am very grateful for everything that you are doing to make that happen.

It looks as if winter is finally here. While we don’t have a lot of snow it’s cold and supposed to be even colder tomorrow morning. It’s so important that all of our kids have appropriate winter clothing for outside and for the ride to and from school. Thank you, Ms. Kramer and Ms. Ziesch

Our 7-12 Christmas Concert is scheduled for Monday December 14th at 7:30 pm. As of right now, we are planning on keeping that schedule. Each family will be allowed two (2) tickets for the concert. We will livestream it to the Facebook page for those who are unable to attend. Also, I am hoping to get a treat plate sent home for the band/choir students again. I am attaching the treat schedule for this year. Parents of students with the last name M-J are being asked to donate treats for the kids. As always this is not mandatory. You are also free to donate if you are not listed. We have been working hard to bring a little holiday cheer to each of you and, to be honest, some for ourselves too. We hope you will be able to join us. Stay tuned for any changes, we all know this could all change tomorrow.

It's hard to believe this time of year is upon us already!! Attached is the schedule for final exams for the first semester in December. We will have a closed campus during finals. Lunch will be from 12:20 to 1:00 each day. If a student is taking an online or ITV class and there is a final test scheduling conflict, students will take the on-line or ITV class final and set up an alternate time to take the in-person final. Distance Learners are responsible for following this schedule as well. Teachers will be in contact with our distance learners to communicate the requirements.

Thanksgiving Break
Hello all, As I am sure most of you are aware, Governor Burgum signed executive order 2020-43 on Friday. In addition to this order, the State Health Officer issued a measure that requires face coverings. North Dakota Public Schools fall under the new mask mandate. This states that face coverings are to be worn in indoor businesses and indoor public settings. They are also to be worn outdoors when social distancing isn’t possible. The only exceptions being: children under the age of five, individuals with a medical or mental health condition or disability that makes it unreasonable to wear a mask, and religious services. Therefore, starting Monday, November 16, 2020 all staff and all students in grades 1-12 as well as visitors and guests to the building must wear a mask. Any individual who meets the criteria for having a medical or mental health condition must provide the superintendent with the appropriate documentation from a licensed medical provider to be exempt. Thank you for your cooperation. Sincerely, Cari Kramer, Superintendent
