Next week the Wing Student Council will be hosting a food drive to benefit several local food pantries in the area. Students or staff that donate a non perishable food item will be allowed to wear a hat during the rest of the school day and will be entered in a drawing for a prize at the end of the week.

Today was “Pride of Dakota Day”. Every part of our lunch was produced either locally or somewhere else in North Dakota. We enjoyed corn from Pam’s garden, buns from Dickinson, sausage from Langdon, produce from Thorson’s, cucumbers from Grandma Doris just to name some of them. As you can see, the kids (and staff) enjoyed them!

Orders and payment are due back to the school October 4 and the students will receive the items on November 23 so you will have them before the holidays! If you are intersted in purchasing one (or more) let us know and we will send a student your way!

As a reminder, North Dakota Century Code requires students to be vaccinated against a number of diseases to attend school. Children who have not furnished an up-to-date vaccination record, can not show they are in the process of being vaccinated, or do not have a signed exemption in place prior to October 1, 2021, must be excluded from school effective October 1, until one of the prior conditions is met. This week our nurse will be going through each student's vaccination record that was provided to the school. If your child is missing any required vaccinations, you will be receiving a letter from Jean Kraft, Burleigh County School Nurse. Also, we are still missing a copy of birth certificates for some students. If you have received a call from the school regarding this, please get us those copies. Thank you!!
