6th Grade Science - Elephant Toothpaste Day!





Last week Humanities and Geography classes were learning about culture through food. They worked away in the kitchen recreating recipes from around the world such as Chile, Norway, China, Ireland, and Chad!




Reminder that our rescheduled Elementary Spring Program is on Monday May 3rd at 7:00 pm. Students should arrive at 6:45 pm.

Big Congratulations to Blake Bernhardt and Grace Mehlhoff for participating in the Southwest Central Regional virtual Fair and ND State Science and Engineering virtual Fair at University of North Dakota!
For the Southwest Central Regional Science and Engineering Fair Blake placed second in the Senior High Division and received a scholarship for $10,000 per year for 4 years to be used while attending the University of Jamestown.
For the ND State Science and Engineering Virtual Fair Blake was awarded the following for his Science Project “The Credibility of Eyewitness Memories”
A $500.00 monetary award and $500.00 UND scholarship.
Senior Division Univ. of North Dakota Dept. of Psychology monetary award of $100.00 and certificate.
Blake qualified for the International Science and Engineering Fair to be held virtually May 3rd. 2021.
Great job Blake and Grace for doing an amazing job with the virtual Regional and State Science and Engineering Fairs for 2021 !!!



Food and Nutrition Class had a busy day yesterday prepping their apples for a variety of dishes!

In World History class, Freshman and Sophomores have created board games to teach about Ancient American Empires! They learned about the Mayans, Inca, and Pueblo Peoples and put their creative energy into finding a way to teach their knowledge. Ask any of the Freshman or Sophomores to play their game :)

Your student was to bring home a green sheet of paper with the heading Burleigh County Public Health. This is the opt-out form for the maturity lesson provided by the school nurse. If you DO NOT want your student to participate please fill out the form and return it to the classroom teacher.

Good news!!! Our mechanical/water issues have been fixed. School will resume as scheduled tomorrow. Once we have a new date finalized for the elementary concert will get that out to you.

So proud of the Wing Robotic's Team "Fusion of the Minds" at this years First Tech Challenge event today. They did a great job making adjustments, learning a new program and building an awesome Bot. You all are amazing!!!
