Wing Public School is seeking candidates to fill the position of a paraprofessional for the 2024-2025 school year. The hourly rate is $17.00 and the district will pay for a single health insurance premium. Our WPS music students had a fantastic day at regional contest on Thursday! We had 8 entries perform, and 5 entries received a star, which is the highest rating. The other 3 entries received a 1, which is the second best rating. Students that received a star will continue to the state competition on May 4th in Bismarck.

Today students in grades 2-12 had the wonderful opportunity to listen to Hunter Pinke speak at Washburn High School.





Region 7 Speech Meet at Hazelton sent home both Wing participants with awards. Landon Anderson placed 4th in Speech to Inform. Ty Mehlhoff came home with 5th in Speech to Persuade and in 8th in Impromptu Speech. Ty will be competing in both those categories at the State Class B Speech Meet in May.


Roughrider track and field blew the competition away at the Bowman County Invite! Congratulations to Monica for state qualifying in the 100 meter dash!

Softball update: Thursday’s game against Carrington is postponed and will be made up at a later date. Practice tomorrow in Wilton till 5:30. Friday against DLB at the Minot Dome 8:00 pm.

Congratulations to Mrs. Cassidy Lyngaas. The Wing Public School Board has selected her to be the next superintendent for the district. Mrs. Lyngaas has the knowledge, character and passion to continue the district on a great path. She steps into her role as superintendent on July 1, 2024.
