Wing Public School

We would like to take this opportunity to introduce our new music teacher for the upcoming school year. We are very excited to welcome Mrs. Birnbaum to the Wing Public School staff for the 2023-2024 school year. Here are a few things about Mrs. Birnbaum: I grew up in Bismarck, and graduated from NDSU in 2021. I taught for two years in Rugby, and then decided to move closer to family. I am very excited to continue my career in Wing! A few fun facts about me: - I got married last November - I love drinking coffee - I love singing! - I am the 4th of 6 kids, and my family keeps growing!

Please join us for our open house on August 17th from 5 - 6:30 pm. We will have food, fun, and prizes! There will be an activity for the elementary students. There will break out sessions for incoming 6th graders and families, incoming freshman and families, and all incoming high schoolers and their families. We hope to see you then!!

Wing Public School students forming the RC track berm. We are having so much fun making this RC dirt track for the Wing community! They are all working so hard and doing a great job! Special thanks to Kasen Bosch, Taylor Matthews, Mr. Dockter and Mr. Schlafmann for helping to dig out the track area. If you are able to donate time/equipment we need help to move some more dirt around to level if up a bit and then cultivate the soil before the final track is formed. North Dakota Health and Human Services and ND Department of Public Instruction will provide food assistance this summer to about 45,000 North Dakota children through the P-EBT program. Children who may benefit include those ages 0-5 whose households participate in SNAP and school-age children who participated in the free or reduced-price school meals this school year. The Wing FFA Chapter is getting settled in for the ND State FFA Convention. Stay tuned for results.

Class of 2023 graduates are not be able to access their grades in PowerSchool. If you need a copy of your grades or a transcript, please reach out to the school. For our other students and families, Power School will be turned off for families and students from June 15th - August 9th, 2023. If you need to access something from Power School, please do so before then. Thank you.

The native pollinators are off to a great start in the Wing FFA Orchard and Garden. Burleigh County Soil Conservation assisted with a Xeriscape grant.

We have a number of computers and monitors we are looking to part with. If someone can use them please reach out to Superintendent Kramer.

Final semester 2 grades for students in grades 7-12 have been finalized and can be viewed in Power School. For students who just completed grades 9-12, you can also look at the graduation plan progress for those students. This tab will track the status of in- progress and completed graduation requirements for Wing High School. No report cards will be sent out.
