It's hard to believe this time of year is upon us already!! Attached is the schedule for final exams for the first semester in December. We will have a closed campus during finals. Lunch will be from 12:20 to 1:00 each day. If a student is taking an online or ITV class and there is a final test scheduling conflict, students will take the on-line or ITV class final and set up an alternate time to take the in-person final. Distance Learners are responsible for following this schedule as well. Teachers will be in contact with our distance learners to communicate the requirements.

The Wing Student Council is hosting an Angel Tree at the school to benefit the Salvation Army. Follow the instructions on the tree and make sure to bring your items back to the school by Thursday December 10th. Thank you for helping us bring joy to others this holiday season.

All basketball players in grades 9-12 must have a physical form from last year or a form B turned into the office before they can practice on Monday, November 30,2020.

Happy Friday everyone! Here is an update on how things are going for us at WPS.

Thank you to everyone who donated to the food drive this week. We have an overflowing tub of donations for the Wilton Food Pantry.

Thanksgiving Break Information

Hello all,
As I am sure most of you are aware, Governor Burgum signed executive order 2020-43 on Friday. In addition to this order, the State Health Officer issued a measure that requires face coverings. North Dakota Public Schools fall under the new mask mandate. This states that face coverings are to be worn in indoor businesses and indoor public settings. They are also to be worn outdoors when social distancing isn’t possible. The only exceptions being: children under the age of five, individuals with a medical or mental health condition or disability that makes it unreasonable to wear a mask, and religious services.
Therefore, starting Monday, November 16, 2020 all staff and all students in grades 1-12 as well as visitors and guests to the building must wear a mask. Any individual who meets the criteria for having a medical or mental health condition must provide the superintendent with the appropriate documentation from a licensed medical provider to be exempt.
Thank you for your cooperation.
Sincerely,
Cari Kramer, Superintendent

Thanks to SFC Hoefer for visiting with students about what Veterans Day is all about. He created a mini platoon and worked on some exercises! Check out the facebook page for all of the pictures.

Results from the NDACDA JH Honor Choir Festival are in. Grace was selected to the Treble (women's) choir. Unfortunately, the NDACDA board has decided not to hold the festival this year in the interest of student health and safety. Regardless, this is Grace's second year in a row being recognized in this festival and I am very proud of her achievement. Congratulations, Grace!

A shout out to our very own Ty for receiving Honorable Mention for Superior Actor at the regional one-act play contest yesterday.

We would like to give a shout out to all of our teachers as they are putting in extra work to make sure all of our kids have adequate learning opportunities. Amidst this pandemic we also have had some teachers who have had to teach remotely themselves or have students who are learning remotely and are doing a great job!!

Good luck to our one- act play team as they travel to Hazen today!!!

School closed in observance of Veterans day.
Thank you Veterans for your service.

Just a friendly reminder that tomorrow (11/10) the Veterans Day program will be taking place at 2:00 pm. We will have no outside audience, but the performance will be livestreamed on the WPS Facebook page. The elementary portion of the program will not be livestreamed, but will be posted directly to the WPS Facebook page following the livestream.
Thank you for your understanding and flexibility and thank you to all of the Veterans in our community for your service.
