Thanksgiving Break Information

Hello all,
As I am sure most of you are aware, Governor Burgum signed executive order 2020-43 on Friday. In addition to this order, the State Health Officer issued a measure that requires face coverings. North Dakota Public Schools fall under the new mask mandate. This states that face coverings are to be worn in indoor businesses and indoor public settings. They are also to be worn outdoors when social distancing isn’t possible. The only exceptions being: children under the age of five, individuals with a medical or mental health condition or disability that makes it unreasonable to wear a mask, and religious services.
Therefore, starting Monday, November 16, 2020 all staff and all students in grades 1-12 as well as visitors and guests to the building must wear a mask. Any individual who meets the criteria for having a medical or mental health condition must provide the superintendent with the appropriate documentation from a licensed medical provider to be exempt.
Thank you for your cooperation.
Sincerely,
Cari Kramer, Superintendent

Ms. Marimon’s science students were busy this week building their own fireworks and earthquake proof towers.

Thanks to SFC Hoefer for visiting with students about what Veterans Day is all about. He created a mini platoon and worked on some exercises! Check out the facebook page for all of the pictures.

Results from the NDACDA JH Honor Choir Festival are in. Grace was selected to the Treble (women's) choir. Unfortunately, the NDACDA board has decided not to hold the festival this year in the interest of student health and safety. Regardless, this is Grace's second year in a row being recognized in this festival and I am very proud of her achievement. Congratulations, Grace!

We would like to give a shout out to all of our teachers as they are putting in extra work to make sure all of our kids have adequate learning opportunities. Amidst this pandemic we also have had some teachers who have had to teach remotely themselves or have students who are learning remotely and are doing a great job!!

Good luck to our one- act play team as they travel to Hazen today!!!

School closed in observance of Veterans day.
Thank you Veterans for your service.
